Puff Puff I Said!!
1 baking sheet
Cooking spray
1 package puff pastry – frozen
1 cup butter – melted
1 large bowl
1 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt
2 cups Cheddar cheese
1 cup Greek feta cheese
2 cups ham – chopped
1 cup chicken breast – cooked and chopped
1 cup green bell peppers – diced
½ cup tomatoes – diced
1 cup spicy mustard
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a
baking sheet with cooking spray. Open a package of puff pastry and cut the
pastry into strips – equal in size and as even as possible. Place the strips on
the baking sheet and then sit the sheet to the side. In a large bowl, combine
the oregano, black pepper, salt, Cheddar cheese and Greek feta cheese. Stir the cheese mixture gently until the ingredients are well blended. Next, blend ham, chicken
breast, bell peppers and tomatoes into the cheese mixture. Stir the mixture and
then blend in a cup of spicy mustard. Stir the cheese mixture until it is creamy.
Place a tablespoon of the mixture onto each of the puff pastry strips. Gently
roll the strips up into pinwheels – some of the mixture will ooze out of the
pastry and that is OK. Bake the pastries until the puff pastries are golden
brown. Let the cheese pastries rest for 3 minutes before serving with your favorite
cocktail.
